ADC’s HDSL4 gives service providers the optimum solution for delivering T-1

services to customers beyond CSA range (12,000 ft./24 AWG). ADC‘s HDSL4

extends DS-1 transmission up to 16kft. without repeaters or up to 46kft. with

repeaters over two unconditioned copper pairs on 24 AWG. With line-powered

repeaters and remote, ADC’s HDSL4 maintains spectrum compatibility with

ADSL, while supporting even greater reach via a three-span circuit. The

extended reach of HDSL4 enables customers to service more subscribers with

less equipment.

Fiber Loop Extenders

D3LX

The D3LX fiber optic loop extender is ADC’s next-generation DS-3 optical

transport module. It uses single-fiber optical laser transport (1310/1550 nm)

WDM technology to double a carrier‘s fiber capacity in a variety of applications.

The D3LX is nearly one-third the size of ADC’s DS3FLC, providing three times

the circuit density in the same rack space. The D3LX features: 1+1 protection

switching, 13dB optical link budget, Central Office and remote alarms. It also

supports seven protected or 14 unprotected modules in the Soneplex loop

extender chassis, and is environmentally hardened for Central Office and

remote applications. The D3LX is an ideal solution for carriers delivering ATM or

TDM DS-3 services to remote locations.

POWER DISTRIBUTION PRODUCTS

Designed to power and protect network elements in broadband networks,

ADC‘s PowerWorx fuse panels hold a lifetime warranty and are NEBS-Level 3

certified. With input power up to 65A per bus, the traditional GMT series

accommodates up to 15A of output power per fuse position. A self-configuring

voltage and polarity feature allows a single panel to support most +/-24VDC or

+/-48VDC applications. For high amperage applications, or for applications

where a combination of fuse types are required, the Select series fuse platform

accepts high-input power — up to 100A per bus — with up to 50A output

power. TPA, KLM, TPM and GMT fuses can be mixed within the same one-rack-

unit panel for maximum flexibility.
