BUFFER TUBE ACCESS TOOL
A revolutionary tool designed to access a wide range of buffer tube sizes and
fiber counts enables the opening of buffer tubes in virtually any commercially
available loose tube cable.

Fiber Optic Cable
•Alcatel‘s AFC
coating process delivers superior aging performance.
•The ABM2
buffer tube material enhances flexibility and kink resistance while
maintaining optical and mechanical integrity.
ColorLock
enhances fiber identification and colored fiber reliability.
•Singlemode fiber is designed to provide optimum performance in both the 1,310 and
1,550 nm wavelength operating ranges.
Enhanced singlemode fiber (E-SMF) is designed to provide improved performance
across the full 1,265 to 1,625 nm region, which provides 30 percent more wavelengths.
The uniqueness of the TeraLight
fibers lies in the balance of three key factors
affecting fiber performance: effective area, chromatic dispersion and dispersion slope.
•Optimized for the metropolitan backbone environment with distances greater than
70km at 10Gbps operation without dispersion compensation, TeraLight METRO
guarantees 1,310 nm operation with low dispersion.
•TeraLight ULTRA is designed for the long haul and ultra-long haul applications, as
these networks evolve to higher bit rates (40Gbps and higher) and longer distances
(more than1,000km). It guarantees1,450 nm attenuation and optimized effective area.
MICROUNITUBE
®
CABLE
With a small central tube that can accommodate up to 12 fibers, these cables
provide easy fiber access, routing and termination. This cable design is well
suited for aerial, buried or duct applications.
OPTIMIZED LOOSE TUBE CABLE
This reduced diameter cable is suitable for aerial, buried or duct applications. It
is available in a wide variety of dielectric or armored configurations with a
single or dual jacket design.
STRANDED RIBBON CABLE
This is a high-count cable that enables operators to place up to 864 fibers in a
cable an inch in diameter, optimizing potential revenue per cable pathway.
MICRODUCT CABLE
Microduct cable is engineered for density, performance and reliability. In
spite of its small diameter (7.2mm for the 72 fiber-count cable), it performs
admirably in urban environments, in terms of crush, bending, torsion
and temperature.
ADSS CABLE
With a capacity of greater than 144, this is a universal solution for a large
variety of applications on medium- and high-voltage lines up to about 275kV.
By adapting aramid content, spans of 800m or even 1,000m are possible.
