2-TYPE PRESSURIZED CLOSURE KITS

The 3M 2-type closure is a complete pressure-tight re-enterable closure system

for enclosing spliced connections of communication cables in a wide variety of

applications. 2-type closures are available in many different closure lengths and

diameters. Each complete 2-type kit contains all the components needed to

install cover and end plates.

2178-L/S-FR FLAME-RETARDANT SPLICE CASES

Designed for use in vault and building applications, the 3M 2178-L/S-FR splice

cases are molded with a flame-retardant material that allows these closures to

pass Telcordia Technologies (Bellcore), UL and various global specifications that

require a flame-retardant rating. The new material increases the resistance of

the closure to the effects of sprays and release agents used for easier re-entry.

2178-L/S FIBER OPTIC SPLICE CASES

The 3M 2178-L/S fiber optic splice case is ideal for outside plant, underground,

aerial, pedestal and direct buried applications. The cases are made of a tough

chemical-resistant material with a gasket seal. The 2178-L/S requires no special

tools or complicated training materials and stands up to even the most severe

conditions of moisture, vibration and extreme temperatures.
